Welcome to The Bison Trail at Alma House
Alma House is a mountain-town rooming house with a hip-yet-homey vibe, and situated in the middle of every mountain activity you could possibly imagine including hiking, biking, skiing, snowboarding, fly fishing, mining, rafting, golfing, and more. Our rooming house is right in the heart of town with a gorgeous mountain view and is an ideal to explore and play in the high country.
The Bison Trail is a private room on the second level of Alma House and can sleep up to 4 people with 2 twin XL bunkbeds. Each bed is comfortably appointed with pillows, bedding, and throws. Towels and washcloths are also provided and can be found in the large wardrobe in the room.
Our 5 full-bathrooms have recently been updated with 2 located on the upper floor, 2 additional full-bathrooms on the main floor, and the remaining full-bathroom on the lower level. These shared bathrooms have large showers with shampoo, conditioner, and bodywash dispensers, toilet, wash basin, and hand towels. Other amenities in the room include luggage racks, mini fans, humidifiers, and USB plugs for your charging convenience.
Alma House is a spacious 2-story, 7 bedroom, 5 bathroom rooming house. Our rooming house boasts a shared full kitchen and extra-large dining and living room to share with your fellow travelers.
Pets
While we do love pets we only allow pets with our whole-house rental option.
Your Hosts
Your hosts reside on the property in an apartment on the lower level. While their apartment is inaccessible to guests the entrance to their apartment is through the back stairwell, which is separated from the private guest area by a code locked door.
We are very easy going and delighted to have you at Alma House. Our goal is to ensure your stay is safe, private and exceptional! Feel free to reach out if there is anything you need during your stay. Our contact information can be found in the welcome book upon your arrival.
Privacy and Security
Alma House is a private residence for our guests. All three exterior doors are coded doors, with codes provided to our guests 48 hours prior to their arrival. Only registered guests of Alma House will be permitted on the premises. Other guests may visit registered guests with prior notification to the hosts.
Smoking
We kindly as that you do not smoke or vape inside the building but please feel free to enjoy the gorgeous view outside while having a smoke or vape.
Parking
Alma House parking is dedicated for our guests only and can accommodate 10+ cars. If additional parking is needed, please let us know in advance of booking.

Drive 68 miles, then turn right onto CO-9 N/Main Street in Fairplay
Drive 6 miles then Alma House will be on your right.

Take I-70 W and drive approximately 70 miles (depending on where in Denver you are starting from)
Then take exit 203 for CO-9 S toward Frisco/Breckenridge
Exit the traffic circle take the 4th exit onto CO-9/N Summit Blvd
At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto CO-9/Summit Blvd
At the next traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto CO-9
At the next traffic circle, take the 2nd exit onto CO-9 S
Take a slight right onto CO-9
At the next traffic circle, take the 1st exit onto North Park Avenue
Continue onto South Park Avenue
At the next traffic circle, continue straight to stay on South Park Avenue
Continue onto CO-9 S/S Main St
Continue to follow CO-9 S for 6 miles
Destination will be on the left

Take US-24W/W Hwy 24 and drive 64.5 miles
Then turn right onto CO-9 N
Drive 16.1 miles
Then turn right onto US Hwy 285 N
